SOPHIA LU, 26

China

I want to work in Toronto because it’s the economic centre. It has a big market and a lot of big companies have contracts here, so the job opportunity would be better.

LOUIS CHAN, 36

United States

I think every country pegs a lot of their benchmarks to North America. Having that background knowledge, it’s a lot easier to branch out to a lot of immerging industries from other countries.

ALAIN KASSANGANA,31

United States

This is my second Masters. At this point, I’m trying to acquire as much knowledge and experience to start my own business . . . in the services industry.

MINHUI LIU, 29

China

After five years of working, I wanted to be a real business person. I wanted to explore more and see the world. International experience is hard [to get] in China. It’s highly appreciated, it gives you more of an edge.

JUN YEO, 26

Singapore

It’s important to have an international outlook especially when you’re doing business. I worked in China after I finished my undergrad. I want to work in Canada because it has a booming sector in renewable energy.

ALLSION LICKLEY, 28

Sudbury

One of the reasons I chose to go to Mcgill is because it has a brand of recognition outside of Canada, and it’s pretty strong internationally. I felt that would open doors for me.
