— Peacefully on March 4, 2012 in her 94th year. Loving wife of Dr. John Button for 69 years; mother of Jocelyn, Barbara and Janet; mother-in-law of the late Michael Paul, Dr. Daniel Dolden and Willard L’heureux; adoring grandmother of Jenny (Grant), Amy (Gary), Tim (Gaia), Teo, Will, Chasen, Josie (Sam) and Robert; greatgrandmother of Emily, Tommy, Luke, Ilaria, Grace, June and John; dear sister of Anna Clark. June was an involved citizen and a leader in Stouffville: Chairman of the Board of Education, Civic Councillor and award-winning gardener were but a few of her accomplishments. She was a guiding light and model to her grandchildren who worshipped her for her strong sense of justice and forthright personality. She influenced those around her with her value system based on common sense, hard work and loyalty. June loved life: skiing in Switzerland, travelling the world, Halls Lake, dinner parties, Majolica pottery, antiques and digging in her garden. A woman for all seasons! Family will receive friends at the O’neill Funeral Home, 6324 Main Street, Stouffville, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Stouffville United Church (34 Church Street, Stouffville), on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. Reception to follow at 136 O’brien Ave., Stouffville.
