Strip-club reward offered for tips on missing teen

-

An Alaskan strip-club owner with a colourful past is offering the control of his club free for a year in exchange for information he hopes will lead to finding a missing 18-year-old Anchorage woman.

Terry Stahl man, 69, who runs the Showboat Show Club, said he was so shocked by the kidnapping of Samantha Koenig that he felt he had to do something.

The former felon and recovering addict told the Toronto Star he was “hoping to make a difference” by aiding the search for Koenig. “I came up here, like a lot of people do, looking for another shot at life,” Stahl man said. “I got that shot. “I want to do my part. I’m a father. It’s a crazy idea. But why not do it?” Koenig was abducted from the Common Grounds Espresso bar where she worked as a barista at closing on Feb. 1, according to the Anchorage Police Department. Surveillance video shows an armed male leaving with her on foot, but isn’t clear enough to identify him, said police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker. The video has not been released pending the investigation, he said. “We’re still hoping and believing we can find Samantha and she’ll be alive and we can find the person responsible for this,” Parker said. Family and friends are offering a $70,000 reward for information on her abduction. There is also a Facebook page asking for help. “Sam is just the spice of life,” said her father, James Koenig. “She’s in everyone’s heart. Sam’s one of those kids who all her friends consider their best friend.” Stahl man told the Star he has received a number of calls, and that he will check them out and pass on any useful information to police.
