OSTERSUND, SWEDEN— Edmonton’s Brendan Bottcher defeated the Czech Republic 9-5 on Wednesday to improve to 6-1 and remain tied with Norway atop the men’s draw at the world junior championships.
On the women’s side, Jocelyn Peterman of Red Deer, Alta., split her two games to remain in a three-way tie for first at 6-2.
