HAMILTON TIGER-CATS (3-4) MONTREAL ALOUETTES (4-3)

Percival Molson Stadium 7:30 p.m. (TSN) The Ticats have lost two straight. They can’t stop the run and are having trouble against the pass. Not a good combination when facing the league’s leading quarterback:

Anthony Calvillo, who turns 40 on game day. Calvillo, fined Wednesday for trying to trip an opponent in last week’s 38-25 win over the Eskimos, has thrown for 300 yards in six straight games and connected for four TDs last time out. He’s on pace or more than 6,000 yards. The Alouettes beat the Esks despite injuries to receiver Jamel Richardson (hamstring) and Brandon

Whitaker (ribs). S.J. Green stepped up and is third in the CFL in receiving yards. . . . It looks like Avon Colborne will get his first chance to run the ball for Hamilton with speedster

Chevon Walker hobbled by a lower body injury. Slotback Andy Fantuz (concussion) remains doubtful. The Ticats turned the ball over six times in their 35-27 loss to Winnipeg. QB

Henry Burris fumbled four times. Hamilton has given up more than 30 points five times.

Who wins? Alouettes

B.C. LIONS (5-2) WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (2-5)

Canad Inns Stadium, 8 p.m. (TSN) Bombers third-string QB Joey Elliott threw for more than 400 yards in beating the Tiger-Cats last week, taking advantage of six turnovers. The Bombers committed none. Winnipeg has also been outscored 54-8 in first quarters. Elliott has to throw against a fierce Lions defence that hasn’t given up a touchdown in three games. . . . QB Travis Lulay has passed for a TD in 18 straight games. In the past three, the Lions have outscored opponents 76-22. B.C. leads the CFL in most major defensive categories. Who wins? Lions

CALGARY STAMPEDERS (3-4) SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS (3-4)

Mosaic Stadium, 3 p.m. (TSN) The Roughriders are fading fast. They’ve blown big leads twice and lost four straight after opening 3-0. QB Darian Durant is struggling along with his receivers. The offence was held to a field goal in last week’s 24-5 loss to the Lions. Durant threw three interceptions on his 30th birthday and passed for just 170 yards. He was also sacked three times. Running back Kory Sheets never got untracked, gaining just 28 yards. . . . Calgary is coming off a 22-14 home loss to the Argos, in which QB Kevin

Glenn couldn’t generate much offence. Despite last week’s result, the Riders defence played pretty well. Against Toronto, the Stamps took too many foolish penalties that cost them good field position. The result might have been different had

Nik Lewis, Keon Raymond and Jon Cornish kept their cool. Who wins? Roughriders

EDMONTON ESKIMOS (4-3) TORONTO ARGONAUTS (4-3)

Rogers Centre, 7:30 p.m. (TSN, TSN Radio 1050)

Ricky Ray and Steven Jyles, quarterbacks traded for each other in the off-season, square off for the second time. Jyles won the season opener in Edmonton. He’s battling a toe injury, though, and coming off one of his worst games — 218 yards and five sacks against the Alouettes. Top receiver Fred Stamps isn’t 100 per cent, either, after a hard hit in the Montreal game. Former Argo tailback Cory Boyd saw limited action in his Eskimos debut, gaining two yards on two carries with one seven-yard reception, but he’s had time now to get familiar with the Edmonton offence. He says he knows how to run against his old team. . . . His Argo replacement,

Chad Kackert, nearly ran for 100 yards in his first start. The Argos continue to struggle in the red zone, though, with one touchdown in the last 10 quarters. The Esks’ defence was picked apart by Calvillo last week. Who wins? Argonauts Bob Mitchell’s record: 13-15
