Bachelor dishes on first episode

-

Wilder Weir, part of the Star’s Bachelor Canada panel and friend of Brad Smith, talks to the Bachelor after Wednesday’s episode. What’s it like to seeing yourself on TV, flirting, kissing, crying?

I was insecure about it at first. People were telling me how good I looked on screen but all I saw was a hot mess. What was the most uncomfortable part?

Seeing myself kiss a girl on TV. I didn’t want to make it look like I was trying to resuscitate her so obviously I was a bit self-conscious, but Whitney is a great kisser so I’m not complaining. What made you give Whitney the first-impression rose?

It was easy. She was chill and straightforward while all of the other girls seemed like they were trying to sell me a Corolla. (She) wasn’t overbearing at all. What was the most surprising moment?

When the final limo arrived I thought my ex-girlfriend was going to step out. I was relieved to see Jillian Harris What was it like meeting her and did she actually help with the selection process?

She’s an amazing girl. What I really took from Jillian was her advice on the process. When it came to the girls, the only opinion that matters is mine and my family. What was the first rose ceremony like?

It was great experience but I wouldn’t wish it on any man. After it was done it was extremely awkward and I honestly felt like the loneliest man in Canada. Got a question for Brad Smith?
