Whither the Water? Before you take that extra long shower, tune into The Water Brothers Marathon. It features six episodes from the show’s first season, in which brother ecoadventurers Alex and Tyler Mifflin travel the world revealing the pressures being placed on an extraordinarily valuable resource. Locations range from the coral reef systems of Central America and Mexico, to a Toronto water processing plant (TVO at 7).

Trouble in Jerusalem: The Bible treads familiar hallowed ground in two new episodes. “Mission” sees Jesus (Diogo Morgado) bringing Lazarus back to life and chasing the money-changers from the Temple. In “Betrayal,” Judas (Joe Wredden) betrays Jesus, who throws the dis- ciples into turmoil at the Last Supper, and is arrested and condemned to death (History at 8).

Nature Unvarnished: The Discovery show Africa presents the wildlife of the world’s second largest conti- nent in all its heartbreaking, exhilarating glory. In the episode “Savannah,” viewers see brazen lizards that hunt for flies on the backs of sleeping lions, a bird called a shoebill that sometimes kills its own siblings and the grief of a mother elephant when her calf falls victim to drought (Discovery World at 9).

Oscar Winners Unite: HBO continues its quest for TV movie supremacy with Phil Spector. It stars acting heavyweights Al Pacino as music producer Spector and Helen Mirren as Linda Kenney Baden, one of the lawyers defending him on the charge of murdering actress Lana Clarkson. The creative team is also A-list: it’s written by a Pulitzer Prize winner, playwright David Mamet, and executive-produced by an Oscar winner, Barry Levinson (HBO at 9). Debra Yeo
