Solution to Holyday dilemma

-

Re Replacing Holyday a real dilemma, Aug. 17 The solution of how to replace Doug Holyday is quite simple. It is an elected position that should be replaced by an election. Since Holyday chose not to serve his full elected term, he should have to buy out his contract with the electorate. As such, he would be responsible for the full cost of an election. This way, democracy has been served and the position filled.

I cannot support allowing someone to hold a position then taking a leave while attempting to secure another job. Quit and move forward as others must. Stan Situlski, Bolton
