Yanks make offer to manager Girardi

NEW YORK— A person familiar with the negotiations says the New York Yankees have made a contract offer to manager Joe Girardi.

Girardi’s contract expires at the end of the month.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman met with Girardi on Monday and with the manager’s agent, Steve Mandell, on Wednesday.
