> GM OFFERS SNEAK PEAK AT NEXT-GEN CADILLAC ESCALADE INTERIOR
Almost gone are the days when buzz for a new model was created by spy photographers. Now, manufacturers tease consumers with their own prelaunch images. With the public unveiling of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade scheduled for Monday evening in New York, the General has released a photo of the interior of the new luxury SUV. The accompanying text promises a high level of craftsmanship and the use of wood and stitched leather. The look is reminiscent of a historic library, with a digital screen being the focus rather than a fireplace. While the cabin looks luxe to some, many on the Internet have been complaining about the inclusion of wood trim and a column-mounted shifter. wheels@thestar.ca
