Time to say ‘enough is enough’

-

Re ‘I don’t throw my friends under the bus,’ Oct. 3 How long does this once great city have to suffer the daily slings and arrows of this corrupt Ford mandate? When will citizens rise up and declare that “enough is enough!”? When will the “sources” hidden behind dozens of news stories sum up the courage as citizens and give their names and add credibility to accounts of Mayor Rob Ford’s unacceptable behaviours and attitudes?

When will the die hard members of Ford Nation stop being so blind and willing to be the cannon fodder for this incredibly corrupt, abusive, unworthy, “bread and circuses” political alliance? When will city councillors declare this mayor unfit to govern? As we await responsible citizenship, this city dies a little every day.

Don Quinlan, Toronto Sandro Lisi’s friendship with Rob Ford seems to involve a lot of short, clandestine meetings in Lisi’s neighbourhood where one will poke his head into the other’s car for a few seconds. What do you suppose they’re doing; sharing sewing patterns?

John Fraser, Toronto

Ford doesn’t get it. His friends are throwing him under the bus.

Dodie Smith, Toronto

Re Ford friend arrested in raid, Oct. 2 This front-page headline is an embarrassing throwback to the days of McCarthyism when “guilt by association” was in vogue.

George Dunbar, Toronto

What’s that saying about being known by the company you keep?

James Knott, Mississauga Perhaps Ford refused to “throw his friend under the bus” because subways are more effective places to throw “friends” like that.

Eric Mendelsohn, Toronto
