Many of Ontario’s Finest Hotels, Inns & Spas are ringing in the New Year with special packages. Niagaraon-the-Lake’s Harbour House Hotel has a two-night deal that comes with accommodation, breakfast for two and a Champagne Brunch on New Year’s Day, tasting menus and a $25-credit for Shaw Spa. The price tag is $296.75 per person, based on double occupancy, plus taxes and gratuities. The package is available Dec. 30-Jan. 2. Up in the Kawarthas, on Stoney Lake, Viamede Resort is offering a four-course New Year’s dinner and dance and a New Year’s Day brunch. With accommodation, the price is $499 per couple plus taxes and gratuities. Guests can also add an extra night with breakfast for an additional $99. And in Picton, Waring House is hosting not one, not two, but three New Year’s Eve parties, at three of its dining venues. Packages include one night’s accommodation, dinner and party favours. The package includes one night’s accommodation with a free upgrade to a suite. It also comes with $50 in dining credit and a $100 (all prices U.S.) gift card for Bloomingdale’s. If you’re stuck for transportation options, fear not! There’s a Bloomingdale’s at the nearby Westfield Century City shopping mall and guests get round trip shuttle service to the mall in the hotel’s new electric Tesla Model S. Transformation Package at the Evelyn The Evelyn in New York City has emerged from the first phase of a multimillion-dollar renovation project.
All of the hotel’s 160 rooms have been refurbished and work will continue into 2015 on public spaces and dining venues.
