A Once-in-a-lifetime chance for guitarists

If you play guitar and have a soft spot for onstage romance, Mirvish Productions has a request for you.

The theatre company needs 600 or more guitarists to gather at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, 244 Victoria St., on April 23 at 12:30 p.m. to play and sing “Falling Slowly.”

It’s the Oscar-winning song from the film and stage versions of Once, the story of an Irish street musician and a Czech immigrant who fall in love. An all-Canadian production is at the Ed Mirvish until May 31.

Guitarists don’t have to be professional but need to pre-register at mirvish.com/100guitars. Those who participate get complimentary tickets to Once. Star staff
