OHL Gens got short-shrift

-

Re OHL champion Gens tame McDavid, May 16 It is disgusting that you put the loser of the OHL championship game on the front page of the Saturday Sports section and the winners on the inside pages. Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters lost to the Oshawa Generals. And they were soundly beaten. For all the hype about McDavid, he was not a factor in the games.

The Oshawa Generals played the best hockey on Friday night that I have seen in years, far better than anything the Leafs have done in decades. They did it with discipline, hard work and no-name players who required body guards due to the hype. Goalie Ken Appleby was outstanding and he had goal support from his team. Doug Middleton, Oshawa
