LCBO extends hours for Pan Am Games

It’s not all sour grapes with the Pan Am Games in town. The LCBO is taking the opportunity to extend hours at three downtown stores.

From July 7 to 26, the store in the old Maple Leaf Gardens will open 30 minutes earlier and stay open an hour later Monday to Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 11p.m. Sunday shoppers get an extra hour, too; the store will now open at 11 a.m.

Two locations permanently extended their hours: The Queens Quay location is now open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday, 11a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays; the King St. W. and Spadina Ave. location now opens at 9:30 a.m. (11 a.m. on Sundays). The store closes at 10 Monday to Thursday, 11 on weekends.
