Everyone knows everyone
Peic’s boat glides through the water, back to his floating home, where some unexpected guests are waving hello from the rooftop patio. “I have no idea who that blond girl is on my roof, but that’s cool,” Peic says with a laugh. “Come on board!”
Everyone in the neighbourhood knows everyone else, he explains — and there’s a bit of an open-door policy, thanks to the shared dock that connects all the homes.
“My next-door neighbour two doors down saw we were eating and brought us chocolate cake,” Peic says. “Who does that?”
