Soldier dies while training at Shilo

Pte. Kirby Tott died suddenly Saturday afternoon while training at Canadian Forces Base Shilo.

A Canadian Armed Forces release provided no details on the circumstances, but noted Tott was taking his basic reserve infantry training at Shilo with the 3rd Canadian Division Training Centre.

The death is under investigation and an autopsy will be conducted.

Tott enlisted in 2012, joining the Rocky Mountain Rangers in Prince George, B.C., as a reservist.
