Police seek driver after deadly crash

Amale cyclist was killed by a hit-andrun driver on Steeles Ave. E. before dawn Thursday morning.

At approximately 5:50 a.m., Hardeep Singh Pahra, 30, was riding on Steeles Avenue E. near Albion Rd. when he was struck by a driver who fled, according to Peel Police. A father of two young children, Pahra had recently immigrated to Canada.

It was “quite dark” at the time of the collision, police spokesperson Lilly Fitzpatrick said, adding that it was possible the driver may not have realized what had happened.
