Raptors sked: The week ahead

- Doug Smith

It’s a tough week for the Toronto Raptors, the back-to-back road games are the start of a four-game trip and if they can emerge 2-2, it’ll be a success. But 1-3 is more likely.

Friday at Boston: Time to catch up with the much-beloved ex-Raptor Amir Johnson who has helped solidify the Celtics frontcourt after signing a two-year, $24-million free agent contract.

Sunday vs. Milwaukee: The Bucks are an intriguing mix of youth and athleticism who were a surprising tough playoff out a year ago. And we get to try to pronounce and enjoy the unique skills of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Tuesday at Dallas: The Mavericks still have Dirk Nowitzki — who is arguably the best European-trained player ever — but there are also a lot of questions about whether they’re a playoff team.

Wednesday at Oklahoma City: Kevin Durant had a wonderful pre-season, fully recovered from his foot woes and the Thunder are as deep and as good as ever.

Question is: When will Durant tire of free-agency questions?
