A view fit for a king

-

As I crossed the bridge in St. James’s Park on my first trip to London, the view caught me by surprise: it appeared as if the jumble of buildings in Whitehall had reassembled themselves into the great, long-gone Whitehall Palace of Henry VIII. Twenty five years, and many visits later, I still find this view to be one of the most remarkable in the city.
