Rockets’ Lawson enters guilty plea

DENVER— Rockets point guard Ty Lawson pleaded guilty to charges stemming from his drunken driving arrest in Denver. Court records show the former Nuggets guard was charged with drunken driving, speeding and other offences last January, but pleaded guilty Thursday to driving while ability impaired and a lane violation. He faces up to180 days in jail when he is sentenced Jan. 14. Lawson also was arrested for drunken driving in Los Angeles in July. A Denver judge in July ordered him to complete a 30-day program at a celebrity rehab centre in Malibu.
