> ALLURE OF AN ART HOUSE

-

Kim Robinson, from Portland, Ore., stayed at the Gaudi Bat Casa with her husband Matt and kids Geneveve, 5, and Xena, 2, and dog Ubu.

It looked like a fun, unique place to stay after weeks of your standard run-of-the-mill chain hotels. Steven’s place popped up on Airbnb and we thought it would be a fun change for the kids and us to sleep in an art house — like we were living in a cartoon.

Our daughters loved the bedrooms the most, hiding in the lower bed cave and putting their baby dolls to bed in the various nooks and crannies. Our 2-year-old really improved her balance and stair-climbing skills. It’s definitely not babyproofed, but I think that added to the fun for them.

This was truly a unique lodging experience. I don’t think it can be compared to anywhere we’ve stayed before because there’s nothing like it.
