I honeymooned in Lonely Planet’s No. 9 city, but somehow missed the iconic hot chicken. (It was still underground in 2009, I swear.) Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and Bolton’s Spicy Chicken & Fish are considered Nashville royalty for their fried chicken with cayenne sauce served on sliced white bread with pickles.
