revamp, March 9 Parents lament the fact that they couldn’t get their kids into swimming lessons after lining up for hours to register and then coming out dry: no vacancies. Then on page GT4 of the same paper, the city wants to end its rental of three pools from the school board.

Mayor John Tory should read the Star for the solution: renting space in school pools would increase registration for swimming lessons. Everyone is happy. For funding, charge a modest $10 registration fee to those wanting free lessons. Rick Schofield, Scarborough
