Time singles out Canucks with Internet bling

Two Canadians join the likes of Barack Obama and Donald Trumpon Time Magazine’s 2016 list of the 30 most influentia­l people on the Internet.

Toronto rapper Drake gets a nod for his “Hotline Bling” video. The Internet churned out enough GIFs, Vines and memes to help make the song the Raptors ambassador’s biggest hit. Indo-Canadian vlogger Lilly Singh, a.k.a. Superwoman, is the other Canuck on the list. She’s quickly becoming one of the biggest stars on YouTube, with more than eight million subscriber­s and 1.1 billion total views.

Other names on the list include rapper Kanye West, his wife Kim Kardashian, Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling and Late Late Show host James Corden.
