LEAFS’ TROOPS
A14-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, Master Seaman Nancy Bunting is a naval communicator serving as a reservist with the HMCS Star, based in Hamilton. She deployed to the Persian Gulf in 2002 with the HMCS Winnipeg, and has been awarded the Southwest Asia Medal, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration. For every Maple Leafs home date this season, the Leafs and their alumni association are donating two tickets, jerseys, food and refreshments to members of the Canadian Forces, who will be honoured at each game.
