Loretta Leon:

“He did a lot of work for the poor people. He always wanted to give. He gave me the (business) card and said ‘Anytime, you call me.’ Rob Ford had a special power. Everyone has bad habits but he’s one of a kind.”

David Mark:

“I voted for Rob Ford because I wanted to see change in this city. I eventually lost faith in him and I feel guilty that I wanted to see him out (of office). I wanted to come here and express my sympathies.”

Joe Belins:

“He was an unusual person. He wasn’t stiff. Was he a good mayor? I have no opinion — I’m not an expert.”

Pierre Gilgeous:

“I live in Etobicoke and met him a couple of times. He was the people’s mayor — he listened and helped people out. Other mayors didn’t really care but he did.”

Judy Edwards:

“He looked after the little guy. He said if I ever needed help, just call him. I got a ride to go vote and he was in the vehicle. He was a good guy.”
