NOTABLE NAMES AT FUNERAL

-

Former mayor Rob Ford’s funeral drew hundreds — politicians of all stripes, city officials and ordinary citizens. Here are some of the notable names who were both inside and outside St. James Cathedral on Wednesday: Former Toronto mayor David Miller Miller was once Ford’s biggest target at city hall. After Ford was elected mayor in 2010, he stomped on Miller’s green initiatives and light rail transit plans. Former Mississauga mayor Hazel McCallion Both west-end politicians, McCallion and Ford were friends and one-time fishing buddies ,with Ford once bear-hugging the fierce woman on video to stop her from being pulled overboard by a big catch in 2013. Ford friend and former driver Sandro Lisi Still facing a criminal charge for allegedly extorting a gang member to retrieve the crack tape, Lisi was never officially on Ford’s staff but is his most notorious associate. Former staffer David Price A longtime family friend, Price appeared to have a falling out with the Fords after the former logistics director was removed from staff in 2013, when Ford was stripped of most of his powers. He spoke out against Ford’s behaviour in a 2015 National Post interview. Others who attended the funeral included: Former Ontario premier Ernie Eves, Ontario Finance Minister Charles Sousa, Ontario Lt.-Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, former mayor Mel Lastman, former mayor Senator Art Eggleton, Toronto police Chief Mark Saunders, Toronto Police Association president Mike McCormack, former Ford staffer Jerry Agyemang, former deputy mayor Doug Holyday, Postmedia chairman Paul Godfrey.
