Herman earns trip to Masters

HUMBLE, TEXAS— Jim Herman picked the right time for his first PGA Tour victory. He closed with a 4-under 68 on Sunday to win the Shell Houston Open and earn his first trip to the Masters. Herman chipped in for birdie on the par-3 16th hole to take the lead at15-under. He finished with two solid pars and beat Henrik Stenson by one shot. Graham DeLaet was the top Canadia, finishing tied for 27th at 5-under for the tournament. Nick Taylor and David Hearn tied for 46th at 2-under.
