Ex-MP Charbonneau dies in Florida at 75
Ex-union leader and Liberal MP Yvon Charbonneau has died at the age of 75.
Charbonneau died Friday in a Florida hospital where he’d been since suffering a stroke on April 7.
Charbonneau sat in the national assembly as a Liberal between 1994 and 1997 before representing the federal Liberals in the Commons between 1997 and 2004.
From 2004 to 2006, he served as Canada’s ambassador to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
