Kitchener man drowns in Mexico

A Kitchener truck driver drowned this week while swimming off the coast of Cancun, Mexico.

Zoltan Zadori was in the water with his wife, Cindy McPherson, on Wednesday when the couple were swept out to sea.

McPherson says the waves were very strong and kept pulling them further out, so they signalled they were in distress to a pair of lifeguards on duty.

She says they were pulled to shore, but paramedics could not resuscitate Zadori, and he was pronounced dead shortly after.

McPherson remains in Mexico.
