James Hinchcliffe, 29, Canada (Oakville, Ont.) CURRENT ADDRESS: Zionsville, Ind. SEASON TO DATE: Up and down. Slow start, great month of May at Indy (3rd in GP, pole for 500) but qualified last twice in recent races.

Mikhail Aleshin, 29, Russia (Moscow) CURRENT ADDRESS: Indianapolis, Ind. SEASON TO DATE: Versatile driver who’s won titles in Europe, Aleshin has struggled in IndyCar (bad crash). No podiums in 2016.

Max Chilton, 25, England CURRENT ADDRESS: Indianapolis, Ind. SEASON TO DATE: Ex-Formula One driver (Marussia), he came to North America to reboot career. Good driver but few good results.

Scott Dixon, 35, New Zealand CURRENT ADDRESS: Indianapolis, Ind. SEASON TO DATE: IndyCar veteran now starting to branch out into sports cars. But he’s got T.O.’s number and has won here. One to watch.

Tony Kanaan, 41, Brazil CURRENT ADDRESS: Miami, Fla. SEASON TO DATE: Indy 500 (2013) and series champion (’04), he’s very popular. Rarely out of the Top 10, he’s knocking on door No. 1.

Sebastien Bourdais, 37, France CURRENT ADDRESS: St. Petersburg, Fla. SEASON TO DATE: Multi-year Champ Car champion just keeps rolling. Wins in Toronto (2014), wins in Detroit (’16). Never count this guy out.

Simon Pagenaud, 32, France CURRENT ADDRESS: Mooresville, N.C. SEASON TO DATE: Suddenly, this guy can’t lose. He’s won three races this year and has come close three other times. Keep an eye on him Sunday.

Marco Andretti, 29, United States CURRENT ADDRESS: Nazareth, Pa. SEASON TO DATE: Racing royalty (grandpa Mario, father Michael), third-generation driver remains a puzzle. This season is like others — largely uneventful.
