Where was Munich shooter’s psychiatrist?

-

Re Shooter planned attack for a year, July 25 Having just returned from Munich (prior to the shooting), I find it hard to reconcile that beautiful, peaceful green city with what was reported. But instead of asking what Angela Merkel, or the police, or secret intelligence were doing, why does no one ask what was the role of the psychiatrist who was caring for the disturbed boy?

Why did he not notice what he had been planning for a year? And what about the parents? What of his preoccupation with killing games and with the history of past rampages, let alone his possession of a gun and hundreds of bullets? We should not let our preoccupation with terrorism lead us away from responsibilities and problems much closer to one’s home and family. Laura Westra, Maple
