$1M, Sept. 20 The news that Amal Clooney is taking on Daesh in court is definitely worthy of a mention in the main section of your newspaper. Yet where do you choose to place it? In the entertainment section — for the sole reason that she just happens to be married to a well-known actor.

Please keep in mind that Ms. Clooney was a highly respected lawyer in her own right way before she married into Hollywood “royalty.” Fiona Bramzell, Toronto Re A Hollywood split that’s been happening

right, Sept. 21 I was appalled that a story about the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie divorce took up a half page in the front section while one about the death of dozens of citizens in the Congo was a measly postage stamp.

I expect better from the Star than this kind of superficial garbage, especially since the divorce story has no place in the front section when it is self-evidently fit only for the Life/Entertainment section. But hey, apparently the private life of white Hollywood celebrities means more than the lives of black Africans to you.

I dare you to prove me wrong. Kenneth Chisholm, London, Ont.
