1963 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE IS A REAL HEAD TURNER

The story: My car came out of Texas in 2003. I had a 1958 prior and a slew of other Corvettes and now I have two, the white ’63 and a 2005 roadster in Daytona Sunset Orange.
I purchased it from a great friend of mine, who took my ’58 Vette in a trade against it.
My ’63 is very special to me as it is like new, inside and out, with a standard stock 327 engine, rebuilt in Texas, and a four-speed transmission. It looks like new from top to bottom. I like driving it around Port Credit, where the car always attracts a lot of attention.
I’m very protective of getting stone chips, so I do not do cruise nights with it.
While I also own a red 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS 5 and a blue 1971 ’Cuda (383 Plymouth Barracuda), both hard tops, it’s the ’63 Corvette that I’m most proud of.
Davies Custom Corvette, a Vette repair shop in Etobicoke, had it displayed at a car show at the International Centre, near Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, where a lot of people stopped to look at it.
Although the car runs very strong, the one fault is that the shift rattles a bit, but I opt to keep the car original and live with that.
I’m very particular about detail and keeping it in great condition, so I’ll be putting it away before the snow sets in.
