Ford previews four custom pickups
Projects in this year’s SEMA show lineup include trucks with very different themes
Ford has begun previewing its 2016 SEMA Show lineup.
As is the norm for the annual show featuring the aftermarket’s biggest and brightest, Ford over the next few weeks will tease numerous projects built from models across its entire lineup.
To start off this year, the American automaker has four F-150 pickup trucks getting customized with very different themes for each one.
This year’s projects include the EraThr3 F-150 by Hulst Customs, an off-road-ready F-150 by Bojix Design, a gold-painted custom by A. R. E. Accessories and a BMW-themed F-150 Lariat SuperCrew.
Hulst Customs’ EraThr3 F-150 SuperCrew will feature a 5.0-litre V8 engine that packs plenty more performance thanks to a Whipple supercharger, CGS Performance catback exhaust and custom dual exhaust tips.
It will be a low-riding project featuring air suspension and massive 26-inch wheels from Lexani.
Providing a sharp contrast to the EraThr3 is Bojix Design’s project, that starts life as an F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew.
Hulst Customs’ EraThr3 F-150 SuperCrew will feature a 5.0-litre V8 engine that packs plenty more performance thanks to a Whipple supercharger
It features a Ready Lift seven-inch lift kit, Fox Racing coilover shocks and 22-inch Grid Off-Road GF-2 forged wheels.
Next up is the Gold Standard F-150 4x4 XLT SuperCab by A. R. E. Accessories, featuring a 3.5-litre V6 EcoBoost engine and Skyjacker suspension.
Along with its flashy gold paint, this F-150 will ride on 22-inch Fuel Forged custom wheels.
Lastly, there’s a 2016 Ford F-150 4x4 Lariat SuperCrew also boasting a Whipple supercharger and plenty of action sports accessories including Ssquared Bicycles bike frames, Answer BMX bicycle parts and GoPro action cameras.
Ford promises that it will be showcasing more than 50 customized vehicles this year, so expect plenty more to come from the American automaker over the next few weeks.
