George Lucas art museum in the works

A San Francisco supervisor plans to introduce a resolution supporting Star Wars creator George Lucas’s proposal for a museum on Treasure Island showcasing his popular art collection.

Supervisor Jane Kim tells the San Francisco Chronicle the museum would bring cultural opportunities and jobs to San Francisco. She pointed out that it would also be free. Lucas would fund the project himself. im says she plans to introduce a resolution supporting the proposal this week.
