Beer runs an easy mark for hackers

Re Self-driving truck makes 190-km beer run, Oct. 26 I suppose that self-driving cars and trucks will be everywhere soon. But a big truck full of beer sounds like an easy target for thirsty computer hackers to hijack and divert. Even though there soon may not be a human driver on board needed to oversee the autonomous truck driver, the beer companies may still need a guard riding on the truck to prevent someone trying to divert the self-driving beer truck.

Or maybe that job will be outsourced to a robot as well? John Purvis, Colborne, Ont.
