Doucet among Frick finalists
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.— Former Montreal Expos broadcaster Jacques Doucet is among the eight finalists for the Ford C. Frick Award that rewards broadcasting excellence. The list was presented Monday by the baseball Hall of Fame. The winner will be announced Dec. 7 at the winter meetings and honoured during the Hall’s enshrinement weekend. Doucet started with the Montreal Expos during their expansion season in 1969 and spent 34 years doing playplay on their French network.
