Canadian men lose to South Korea
CHEONAN, SOUTH KOREA— Canada’s men’s national soccer team concluded its 2016 season with a 2-0 loss to South Korea in an international friendly. Kim Bokyung and Lee Jeonghyeop scored in the first half as Canada finished the year with a 3-6-1 record. Defender Marcel de Jong had Canada’s best chance on a powerful free kick that was denied spectacularly by Korean keeper Kim Jinhyeon. Canada will next see competitive action at next summer’s Gold Cup.
