Denver’s Renaissance hotel woos Star Wars fans
Package ties into museum’s exhibition of costumes from the film franchise
DENVER, COLO.— May the force be with you if you’re travelling to Denver this winter to immerse yourself in the Denver Art Museum’s latest exhibition, Star Wars and the Power of Costume. The show runs Nov. 13 to April 2 and promises to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the imaginative design and artistic creation of several characters in the Star Wars universe.
Through a dramatic display of more than 70 original handcrafted costumes from all seven blockbuster films, visitors will uncover historical and cultural connections between character and costume.
After taking a closer look at the creativity involved in crafting some of the world’s most iconic cinematic outfits — from Princess Leia’s unforgettable bikini to Queen Amidala’s lavish gowns and Darth Vader’s imposing black uniform — visitors should check into the Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center to spread the Star Wars spirit throughout their stay.
The hotel is offering a special package designed for Star Wars fans, which includes VIP untimed tickets to the exhibition with front-of-theline access and a complimentary audio guide, a one-night stay for two in a luxurious guest room with overnight valet parking, two Star Warsthemed cocktails and an appetizer of candied habanero bacon at the hotel’s Teller Bar, and a special Star Wars gift (the deluxe novel set Star Wars: The Jedi Path and Book of Sith by Daniel Wallace). The package is available through the duration of the Denver Art Museum’s exhibition and rates start at $269 (U.S.).
