Re World will battle climate change sans

Donald Trump, Nov. 21 It is heartening to see the global community reaffirmin­g in Marrakech, Morocco, its commitment to the Paris Agreement on climate change. Rather than being dishearten­ed and demoralize­d by the words and actions of U.S. president-elect Donald Trump, nations, local government­s, the private sector and individual­s alike are rallying and getting on with the task at hand.

The movement to a renewable future and a low carbon economy has reached a critical mass that will not be stopped. Yes, the work has been made harder, but nobody said transforma­tional change was easy.

And what a great opportunit­y for Canada to join the vanguard of global leaders in this fight.

The new economy will be led by countries with foresight and courage. Let’s be one of them. Richard Schertzer, Milton Of course the world will survive global warming.
