Buchanan honoured

Canadian international Kadeisha Buchanan is one of four nominees for the Honda Sport Award for Women’s Soccer.

The 21-year-old from Brampton, Ont., helped top-ranked West Virginia to the NCAA tournament final, where the Mountaineers were beaten by 3-1 by No. 7 USC.

The nominees were chosen by a panel of coaches representing the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

The winner will be announced next week.
