Re Police must crack down on speeders, Letter

Jan. 13 I really identified with the letter from Jack Drury. I must witness at least 10 flagrant violations by drivers every week.

So if I see the TTC driver texting and I send his pic to his boss (and the Star), heads roll. If a car driver runs a red light at a camera intersection, the car owner is cited. If I take a pic of the same event and send it to the police, I am ignored. Ridiculous, so many witnesses can verify these events but their evidence has no credence. It’s time for a change: “deputize” those park benchers and let’s save a few lives as well as add to our tax revenues. Kevin Andrien, Markham
