Pedestrian suffers serious head injury

The intersection of Bay St. and Adelaide St. W. reopened after a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck Thursday morning.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was hit just before 10:30 a.m. She was taken to hospital with a serious head injury, Toronto paramedics confirmed.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene, police said.

There was no immediate word on whether anyone would be charged.
