Leicester slides into relegation zone

LONDON— Hours after fired coach Claudio Ranieri said farewell to Leicester players, last year’s champions slipped into the English Premier League’s relegation zone. Crystal Palace’s 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough ensured Leicester will take the field at home on Monday against Liverpool in the bottom three. Leicester is two points above lastplace Sunderland and ahead of Hull only on goal difference. Said goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel: “It’s a shame it’s come to this.”
