Veteran Bourn suffers bad break

BRADENTON, FLA.— Michael Bourn had amajor setback in his bid to make the Baltimore Orioles, breaking his right ring finger while playing catch with a football during a team workout. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Saturday that Bourn will miss about four weeks. The 34-year-old outfielder signed a minor league contract last week. If added to the 40man roster, he’ll make $2 million. Bourn finished last season with Baltimore before testing free agency.
