Pens rule out Letang for five-game trip
Top Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Kris Letang won’t travel with the team on its upcoming five-game road trip because of an undisclosed injury. “Our medical staff has a good handle on it,” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said at Tuesday’s practice, declining to provide details. “When he’s ready to play or he’s getting close, and we get him on the ice, we’ll let you guys know.” Letang, who hasn’t played since Feb. 21, suffered a stroke in 2014 and has a history of concussions.
