Canada expected to hire Zambrano

Octavio Zambrano is reportedly Canada’s new men’s soccer coach. The Canadian Soccer Association scheduled a news conference for Friday in Toronto but refused to confirm or deny reports about the 59year-old from Ecuador. Michael Findlay has been serving as Canadian interim coach since last September when the CSA elected not to renew Spaniard Benito Floro. Zambrano’s coaching career has included MLS stops with the L.A Galaxy (199799) and the Metro Stars (2000-02).
