Re Tory steps up pressure on Wynne for budget

billions, April 9 I am really fed up with right-wing mayors crying for the province to bail out Toronto. Toronto has the lowest tax rate in the GTA. Toronto has nearly 20 per cent of the population of Ontario. Why shouldn’t we be paying our way?

I pay about $2,500 per year in city taxes for my little east-end semi. If another $1,000 will make Toronto’s tax rate equal to other jurisdictions, I’m all for it ($1,000 per year is about the cost of a couple of coffees per day).
